For La Marzocco, Friends of Friends produced a short documentary portrait centred on artists Johanna Dumet and Manuel Wroblewski, exploring their work and creative process at home.
The film was directed, shot and edited by cinematographer Shai Levy, with original music production, under creative direction from Friends of Friends.
Two artists, one studio, one story.
La Marzocco is the Florence-based espresso machine maker whose equipment sits at the centre of cafe culture worldwide. For this collaboration, Friends of Friends turned the camera on the people behind the work rather than the product itself.
The result is a quiet, documentary-style portrait of Johanna Dumet and Manuel Wroblewski, made with the same observational instinct that defines Friends of Friends' approach to storytelling.
