"An empowering identity for the new grill in town."

Identity, art direction and website for Asadero, a sustainable parrilla from the Mezcla group.

Asadero Parrilla Argentina posters with black and white grill photography pasted on a street wall

Asadero is the latest restaurant from Mezcla. A sustainable grill with a twist on the classic Argentinian parrilla, where select cuts of meat cook on a spit called an asador.

The identity sets out to disrupt history. It inverts the gender roles around the gaucho, a figure traditionally cast as male.

01 — Logotype

Heavy serifs, high contrast.

A tailored logotype with thick geometric serifs and strong contrast. It carries the brutalist architecture and interior of the restaurant into type.
