Look behind the curtain at the creative laboratory and headquarters of Swiss bag brand QWSTION in Zurich and you'll find a work in progress: industrial sewing machines, prototypes in development, and a team debating sustainability, functionality and design.
Friends of Friends produced a company portrait exploring QWSTION's approach to materials, from early experiments with organic cotton to Bananatex, their proprietary fabric made from banana-plant fibre, open-sourced for the wider industry to use.

Plants, not plastic.
Founded in Zurich in 2008, QWSTION makes bags and accessories designed for longevity, built from natural and recycled materials. Their Bananatex fabric, made from abacá fibre grown in the Philippines, is fully biodegradable and open-source.
Friends of Friends filmed a company portrait at QWSTION's Zurich studio and store, part of an ongoing editorial conversation about sustainability, functionality and design.
