Adobe worked with Friends of Friends on a run of productions for Creative Cloud and Adobe Stock. The approach came from the FvF magazine. Real creatives, filmed in their own studios and cities. The software shows up where it belongs, inside the work.
A workshop film from TYPO Berlin came first. A tutorial series, an event film in Berlin and a photographer portrait in London followed.
Illustrators Birgit Palma and Daniel Triendl ran Adobe's Modular Lettering workshops in 2017. Participants built letters from a shared set of geometric modules and worked on the same file at the same time through Creative Cloud.
The film starts in their studios in Barcelona and Vienna. It ends at TYPO Berlin, where the two led the workshop at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Released on Adobe Germany's YouTube channel in July 2017.

On the FvF site the film ran with an essay on collaboration in the cloud and how shared files change the way design gets made.
The lettering film set the tone for a tutorial series on InDesign and Photoshop. Two designers, three videos each. Every episode shows a designer's own relationship with the tool, then how to use it.
A two-day Adobe Stock contributor event took place at the FvF Friends Space in Berlin. The post-event film follows the contributor workshop, with short statements from guests on camera.
Contributor Spotlight introduces the photographers behind the Adobe Stock collection. This film follows London photographer and Adobe Stock Premium contributor Andy Smith.
Adobe had commissioned him to shoot London for its Multilocalism visual trend. Real people instead of models. A cab driver, a barber, a butcher, a crossing guard, each photographed at work. The film stays close to his way of working. People first, then location, then the story that grows between them.

For me the interest in photography was always about people.
Productions for Adobe Germany and Adobe Creative Cloud, 2017 to 2018, made through FvF Productions. Each one came out of the same network. Designers and photographers, filmed in the places where they work.
Andy Smith's London series can be seen on the Adobe blog.
